Irokansi Pleased With His Visit

Defensive end Victor Irokansi of Pflugerville (Hendrickson), Texas was a good host earlier this football season. Defensive coordinator Bill Young and co-defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer went to watch him play the night before Oklahoma State's game with Texas in Austin. Irokansi made the visitors happy when he sacked the quarterback on the first play of the game with the two coaches watching.

That kind of highlight makes coaches happy on a visit. This past weekend Young and Spencer, along with Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy and the staff, made Irokansi and his parents happy on his visit.

"It went great," Victor Irokansi said. "It was an excellent visit. I had been up for a game, the Baylor game, but this time I got to see a lot more of the campus and the town. I really liked the apartments where the players live. Those are really nice and lots of room I can't wait to get there for school."

As often happens, Irokansi was paired with a player-host that he had lots in common with in Stillwater

"Yes, my host was James Castleman, and he is a cool guy," added Irokansi. "He did great showing me around and telling me what is up. The food was really good too. We had steaks on Saturday night and that chicken wrapped up in bacon ... man, that was really good."

Irokansi said he is all set for next Wednesday's signing day. He will spend this spring working out trying to get in the best condition and stronger before reporting to Oklahoma State this summer.
