He was offered by nearly every SEC and ACC school as well as Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Oregon.
"I don't have to but it would be all right if I played wide receiver. That's where I want to play, but I would play defense too," Elston said.
On defense he had 123 tackles, 7 sacks, and 4 interceptions, but he also had 700-plus yards of total offense and 12 touchdowns in his senior season.
He said both his visits went well and his list is down to the three schools that make the most sense at this stage.
"Ole Miss, Oklahoma State and LSU, those are the three schools," he said of the decision he is scheduled to announce at approximately 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, a televised signing on ESPN's Signing Day Special.
"My visit (to Oklahoma State) was good, yes sir," Elston continued. "The facilities and everything were really great. Justin Gilbert and Coach Jones showed me around. It was a good visit.
"At LSU they were able to show me a lot in just a few hours," added Elston of his second stop of the weekend.
No clue on what he will decide, but we did ask him to give us a heads up as soon as he can. You want a signing day surprise, well, here you go.
