Treadwell Heading To OSU, OU This Weekend

LaQuon Treadwell told over a month ago that his uncle, former Oklahoma State All-American linebacker Ricky Young, was telling him he had to get down to Oklahoma. His trip this weekend should hit two schools with one unofficial trip. "I'm very excited," was the response from the Scout four-star standout wide receiver when asked about his trip this upcoming weekend to Oklahoma.

"We are leaving Friday morning," said Treadwell. "The plan is to hit both schools, and I'm hoping to get to Oklahoma State early enough on Friday. I'm going to Oklahoma for their spring game on Saturday."

The 6-4, 190-pound Treadwell is from Crete-Monee, Ill. and has had a stellar high school career thus far. He caught 75 passes for over 1,400 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. As a sophomore, he had 49 catches for 825 yards and seven touchdowns.

We asked him on Thursday if he is running track or doing anything and he told us that he is just working toward his senior football season. He already has more than 20 scholarship offers including the likes of Alabama, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. Of course, he has offers from Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.

So what is Treadwell hoping to see with his trip to Stillwater and Norman? "I want to see the facilities. I'm excited about that," he said. "I want to meet the whole coaching staff and try to get to know those guys better. I hope to get to meet some players and be around them too."

Treadwell is making the trip with his mom and plans to get started early on Friday.
