Baltimore Surprised By OSU's Offer

Sitting back in cover three, George Baltimore locks in on the target and the 6-0 195-pound safety intercepts the pass while returning it for a touchdown. Fans love to see safeties make that play, and last season Baltimore made it a few times. The Mansfield, Texas product also has added Oklahoma State to his offer list and that is enough to give him some pause in making a college decision.

"Originally, I was thinking that I would make a decision after spring football," said George Baltimore. "The Oklahoma State offer has me thinking I will extend that until before my senior season or maybe after the season. That offer really came out of nowhere because I had not been talking to the coach and then I did, and they offered. That felt good."

Baltimore, who had 76 tackles with seven interceptions including two returned for touchdowns last season, also had a blocked punt he returned for a touchdown

Those efforts and his ability have earned him offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan State, OU, North Texas, Purdue, SMU, TCU and Vanderbilt. And now in Oklahoma State. He has been on several campuses this spring including Baylor, Oklahoma State for the spring game, Texas Tech, TCU, LSU, and Arkansas.

"I really like Arkansas a lot," said Baltimore. "As soon as I got on the campus I felt at home. Their program is really heading in a positive direction, and they said they really wanted me to go with them."

Baltimore said he is looking for a school for education where the coach understands that he is there to get his education, a school where he can play early, and one where he is comfortable so that if the coach leaves the week after he gets there, then he will still feel at home.
