Samples To Make Decision Soon

Ra'Shaad Samples has announced a top six and he has also let the college football recruiting world know when he will scale that down and announce his college choice. The 5-10, 170-pound speedster from Skyline High School in Dallas will make his commitment at Nike's The Opening in Oregon sometime during the event, which runs from July 5-8.

"Okay my top 6 in NO ORDER," Samples put out on Twitter. "Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, USC, Ohio State and Oklahoma State."

Last season after recovering from a broken leg, Samples had 65 recpetions for 1,369 yards and 20 touchdowns. This spring he broke his foot at a combine. He has aggressively rehabbed the injury and looks to make it back to compete at The Opening when he makes his announcement.

Samples' father, Reginald, is the athletic director and head coach at Skyline. He was the head coach at Dallas Lincoln High School previously where he coached Oklahoma State basketball player Byron Eaton, who was a quarterback for the Tigers, and recent Cowboys defensive end standout Richetti Jones.
