Hammad On His Way To Stillwater

The Oklahoma State coaching staff will welcome the little guys Friday for their camp for pre-high schoolers. But they will have one big guy in for an unofficial recruiting visit on Friday in standout offensive lineman Rami Hammad from Irving, Texas. The 6-5, 310-tackle told us by phone that he was rolling up I-35 with his parents in Oklahoma and on his way to Stillwater.

"Recruiting has been such a blessing, and it is a hard choice to make," said Hammad, who wanted to come to Stillwater to see Oklahoma State after being recruited by Cowboys offensive line coach Joe Wickline. "He is a good coach and he has put a lot of his players in the NFL. I really like and respect Coach Wickline."

Watching Hammad on tape, which you can do too here on GoPokes.com and Scout.com on Hammad's profile page, he is a very powerful blocker that once he gets tied up with a defender either takes them a distance or leaves them on the ground.

His fundamentals in locking on to a defender are very good, and for a big man he has good feet, moves them constantly and well. Scout.com's Greg Powers has done a good job of keeping up with Hammad and will likely have more on his visit too.

Hammad has scholarship offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Houston, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, Mississippi and Texas Tech among others.

Hammad told us he would get in touch with us to let us know how his unofficial visit to Oklahoma State goes.
