JUCO Brandon Garrett Looking To Visit OSU

Oklahoma State offensive line coach Joe Wickline has a good read on several junior college conferences, including the Southwest Junior College Conference. Big offensive tackle Brandon Garrett from Trinity Valley Community College is on the Cowboys' radar screen.

"Yes sir, I've heard from Oklahoma State," said Brandon Garrett, originally out of Deer Park, Texas. "I heard from them last week, and I'm very interested. I'm looking to make a visit in November."

Garrett is 6-6, 295 pounds and has had a really good season despite some offensive problems that the Cardinals have suffered, primarily because of an early injury to their starting quarterback.

Garrett has scholarship offers from North Texas, Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas-San Antonio, and Old Dominion. That's not a monster list, but Trinity Valley hasn't had a strong season.

So, what is Garrett looking for in a program as he has a decision to make soon since he is a December transfer for the spring semester?

"Like I said earlier, I am willing to red-shirt to get bigger or to get more experience," he said. "I don't have to play right away, and playing near home is not at the top of my list. But I want to play for a good program, one where I can get a lot out of it and a lot out of the school."

Trinity Valley is coming off a really good win over powerhouse Blinn J.C., and this week the Cardinals face Tyler Junior College.
