Offensive Line Prospect Robinson Enjoys OSU

Homecoming is always a great Saturday to have unofficial visitors, although the early 11 a.m. kickoff time is a tough one to draw prospects, especially out-of-state prospects. Hurst (Bell), Texas offensive line prospect Jesse Robinson, a 6-6, 285-pound standout did make it to Stillwater this past weekend, and he said his second visit to the OSU campus was a good one.

"It went really good," said Jesse Robinson. "We got to see all of the campus, and there wasa a lot going on.

"The game was pretty good. They gave up a few plays early but then made corrections and shut them down after that. I came with my dad, one of my teammates, safety Kamari Syrie, and Vili Leveni. Vili is a defensive end that is also being recruited by Oklahoma State."

Robinson said he did get some quality time with the coaches.

"I'd been up there on junior day, but this time before the game my dad and I got to sit down and talk with Coach (Joe) Wickline for about 10 to 15 minutes. I shook hands with Coach (Mike) Gundy and then got to talk to him some after the game."

Robinson said his Bell team led Euless Trinity 9-3 at halftime in a showdown game on Friday night but the Trojans came back to win 27-9 in the rivalry. Bell is 6-1 and is still a good bet for the playoffs.

Robinson is having a strong season, as are Syurie and Leveni. Leveni has 24 tackles, three sacks and two fumbles caused on the season. Syrie is a 5-11, 200-pound safety who has also played linebacker. He has 40 tackles with a sack, an interception, and two fumbles recovered.
