"I'm looking for basically a good school. I want it to be a good team, at least a good football program. The education needs to be good too. I'm thinking of majoring in petroleum engineering, but I'm open."
Grogan was 37-of-37 for PATs last season and also connected on 13 field goals while sharing the kicking chores at Martin as a junior with current TCU kicker Jaden Oberkrom. That is a little ironic.
"I really grew up a TCU fan because my dad is an alumni there," he said. "I know Jaden well since we were at the same school and teammates. I know about Quinn Sharp at Oklahoma State too because he is from around here."
Grogan said he is also being contacted regularly by Boise State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Memphis. The Cowboys are looking for a kicker in this class to help with the loss of Sharp.
Grogan is a prodigy of kicking intructor Scott Blanton, the former Oklahoma Sooner kicker. Grogan and his Martin teammates play at Arlington Lamar Friday night in a game at Cravens Field.
