Dee Paul Plans Visits To Texas Tech, OSU

Standout quarterback/athlete Dee Paul of Munday, Texas had a big night Friday as the Moguls clinched the 8-A II District with a 45-10 win over Muenster. It was the first time Muenster had allowed over 18 points in a game this season; Paul had that on his own with touchdown runs of 31 and 52 yards and a 90-yard kickoff return for a score.

"We won pretty big and we clinched the district," said Paul, who is currently committed to SMU.

The 5-10, 160-pound speedster who is also a track standout confirmed he is committed to SMU but that other schools are getting involved.

"Oklahoma State has offered, and Texas Tech is really interested," said Paul. "I'm going to Texas Tech this next weekend (for an unofficial visit) for the game with Texas.

"I'm going to Oklahoma State in two weeks for their West Virginia game. I think that's who they are playing."

As far as what he is looking for in a school, Paul gave us his answer on and off the field. "In football, I see myself playing slot receiver or cornerback," he explained. "I really want to play defense, so I would say playing cornerback and I want to return kickoffs and punts.

"Academics, I want to major in sports communication," added Paul.
