What about Oklahoma State first caught your eye?
Kurzu: The main things I looked for in a school, the first thing was academics. Second was the community of the school. Does everyone come to the games? The third thing I looked for was team unity. Are all the players friendly to each other? Do they fight on the field? I can say that Oklahoma State completely matched my criteria.

What was your deciding factor in committing to the Cowboys?
Kurzu: I believe coach (Joe) Wickline is the best offensive line coach in the country. Just the way that he coaches is amazing. I just feel like I would be a great fit in this program. And also Coach Gundy is amazing. Ever since I saw him defend his player against the media, I knew that was the kind of coach I wanted to play for. I'm really looking forward to it … But at the end, it was about education. I want to major in business and marketing.

What are three words or phrases that describe you as a person?
Kurzu: Loyal, intelligent and kind.

What is your favorite thing to do on the football field?
Kurzu: My favorite moment is the feeling you get after you block your guy, knowing he is out of the way. Then you either see the running back burst through the line or the quarterback throw the ball. It's when you know you've done your job, and so have the rest of your teammates.

Kurzu: I've gotta say the people that I am most excited to have as my teammates are the other offensive lineman and the quarterbacks.
