QB Prospect Sawyer Making Trip To Stillwater

Standout quarterback prospect Foster Sawyer of Fort Worth (All Saints Episcopal), Texas is traveling with his parents to Stillwater and Oklahoma State on Wednesday to further check out the Oklahoma State campus and the football program. He will also be meeting with Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy and offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Mike Yurcich.

Foster Sawyer was offered a scholarship by Oklahoma State and Gundy on Feb. 25, and immediately identified the Cowboys as one of his favorites. He said it was an offer that he was anxious to receive. Sawyer had been on the OSU campus in the fall for a couple of the Cowboys games.

Sawyer is a 6-5, 210-pound pro-style quarterback who has led All Saints to back-to-back Southwest Preparatory Conference titles and a 22-0 record the past two seasons (11-0 each season).

The 2012 season included a 31-7 win over Brownwood, a 45-23 win over Dallas St. Mark's, and a 48-7 win over Oklahoma City Casady School.

Sawyer threw for 2,815 yards with 31 touchdowns and only eight interceptions in completing 162-of-263 passes (61.6 percent). As a sophomore, he threw for 2,810 yards with 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

In addition to OSU, the talented quarterback already has offers from Arizona State, Houston, Missouri, Mississippi, SMU, TCU, North Texas and UCLA.
