Fort Worth (All Saints Episcopal), Texas quarterback Foster Sawyer ended his recruitment on Thursday evening when he made a commitment to TCU. The 6-5, 215-pound standout had some very solid offers including Arizona State, Baylor and Missouri. But he had narrowed the scope down to TCU, Alabama, Oklahoma State, and was receiving late interest from OU. So, which quarterbacks now top OSU's list?
Sawyer had been on the Oklahoma State campus on at least three occasions, and two of those were this spring. Sawyer becomes the second quarterback to commit to the Horned Frogs, joining run/pass quarterback Grayson Muehlstein of Decatur, Texas.
Oklahoma State will move on and as of right now the Cowboys are expecting two of the nation's top quarterback prospects to be in Stillwater for the April 20th Orange-Gray spring game.
Highly-rated Kyle Allen of Scottsdale (Desert Mountain), Ariz;; Mason Rudolph of Rock Hill (Northwestern), S.C.; Brandon Dawkins from Westlake Village (Oaks Christian), Calif., and Brad Kaaya of West Hills (Chaminade), Calif., now become OSU's top targets.
The loss of Sawyer, who looked at one point like a very strong prospect leaning toward Oklahoma State, might put a little added intensity to recruiting the quarterbacks on spring game weekend.
