Spring Football Notebook

One of the top offensive line prospects in Oklahoma is Chandler Miller out of Bixby, Okla. Miller is 6-3, 265 pounds and already has a scholarship offer from Tulsa. He is also receiving interest from Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Army, Kansas and Memphis. Miller and his father were at Friday's practice in Boone Pickens Stadium and spoke afterward with offensive line coach Joe Wickline.

Also present on the sidelines during the scrimmage were twins Lionel and Lionard Fombe. The brothers were dressed alike making only their hair style the way to tell them apart.

Lionel is a wide receiver and Lionard is a cornerback, and both played at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M J.C. before finishing up playing soccer for the Norsemen. The two Fombe brothers said their intention is to walk-on with OSU football for next season.

Lionel, the wide receiver, is 6-0, 206 pounds and Lionard, the cornerback, is 6-0, 215 pounds.

Special Guest on Saturday with Solomon Thomas Expected
We saw defensive end Solomon Thomas of Coppell, Texas at the Nike NFTC on Sunday in Allen, Texas, when he was winning all of his one-on-one matchups to earn the defensive line MVP award to earn a trip to Nike's The Opening in June in Oregon on the Nike campus.

Thomas and his family have informed Oklahoma State staff that they are driving to Stillwater on Saturday to check out the OSU football facilities and the school's campus.

Thomas is a major prospect. The impressive scholarship offer list has some 25 offers including Arkansas, Baylor, BYU, Clemson, Colorado, Houston, Iowa, ULL, Mississippi, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, OU, Stanford, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Last season Thomas had 80 tackles with 14 tackles for loss and six sacks. He is a playmaker on defense that will be a difference maker for the school that gets him.
