Oklahoma State has also been active in recruiting the very athletic Brailford.
"They were here during spring football, the coach that came from Kansas State, the defensive line coach Joe Bob Clements," Brailford said. "This summer I'm going to get ready for the season coming up and go to a couple of camps. I'm going to OSU and OU camp."
Brailford is the kind of defensive end I love to watch and evaluate in that he is ultra athletic and has played basketball and track.
He combines a 4.55 speed in the forty with a 37.5-inch vertical. His strength numbers will need to improve and will as he fills out his frame and gets bigger, but you can't teach "quick twitch" muscle explosion and quickness and he has those attributes.
Last season, he finished with 98 total tackles and 11 sacks. He also two fumbles recovered and one he returned for a touchdown.
So what is Brailford looking for in a school? "I'm just looking for a school where I can spend the next four years and feel comfortable," he said. "I haven't really decided what I want to major in and I'm still looking into that."
Brailford is personable and a friendly young man, unless you are an opposing quarterback and then he might not be as friendly. Keep an eye out for this name, Jordan Brailford, because he is getting more and more attention.
