Brailford Confirms He Has Offer From OSU

Tulsa (Washington), Okla. defensive end Jordan Brailford was profiled last week as being a strong rising prospect, not only in Oklahoma but throughout the southwest and midlands. That day he had just received an offer from Texas Tech. Over the Memorial Day weekend Brailford received an offer from Oklahoma State.

"I did get an offer," text Brailford when asked about it.

We have asked him to elaborate on his thoughts of adding the OSU offer those he's received from Memphis, Tulsa, Baylor, Tech, Toledo, and others. He has yet to text that answer.

He did tell us that Oklahoma State had defensive line coach Joe Bob Clements stop by to see the Washington Hornets this spring.

"They were here during spring football, the coach that came from Kansas State, the defensive line coach Joe Bob Clements," Brailford said. "This summer I'm going to get ready for the season coming up and go to a couple of camps. I'm going to OSU and OU camp."

Brailford is the kind of defensive end I love to watch and evaluate in that he is ultra athletic and has played basketball and track. He combines a 4.55 speed in the forty with a 37.5-inch vertical. His strength numbers will need to improve and will as he fills out his frame and gets bigger, but you can't teach "quick twitch" muscle explosion and quickness, and he has those attributes.

Last season, he finished with 98 total tackles and 11 sacks. He also two fumbles recovered and one he returned for a touchdown. We'll let you know what Brailford is thinking when he fills us in.
