"We got to tour the whole campus. I've seen a lot of things, really nice facilities all over the campus and this visit sealed the deal for me going to Oklahoma State."
When we asked the 6-1, 190-pound Roberts what he saw that he liked best it wasn't a football facility.
"The Student Union is amazing," said Roberts. "The stadium is wonderful and they took me in a room with all the different helmets and jerseys and showed me all the combinations and the rings and watches and even the stuff you get when you go to bowl games, you know the gifts. The locker room is great. It is really a nice campus."
When the Oklahoma State staff was in the Houston area at Cypress Ridge High School for a Mary Hardin-Baylor camp, Roberts attended and showed off his athleticism running a 4.5 and broad jumping 10 feet.
Last season he passed for more than 800 yards and seven touchdowns and also ran for 300 yards and three scores. He is being recruited by Cowboy assistant Van Malone.
"Coach Malone was in and I got to see him," added Roberts. "I also met some of the new freshmen and I met the senior receiver, Tracy Moore."
Roberts said he will look to major in computer engineering. Besides being a good athlete, Roberts can bring it in the classroom as he is an honor student ranked seventh in the Eisenhower 2014 senior class.
