Cowboys Arrive In San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO -- After an uneventful hour and half charter flight from Stillwater to San Antonio the Oklahoma State Cowboys arrived in the Alamo city where they will play an 11 a.m. game Saturday with the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners.

This is a short trip as the Cowboys stopped at the Alamodome for about a 30-minute walk thru in shorts and t-shirts before arriving at their headquarters hotel back out near the airport and far from the festive atmosphere on a Friday night on the Riverwalk.

The team had dinner at 5:45 p.m. at the hotel, and following meetings for offense, defense and special teams will retire to their rooms in groups to watch movies approved on the hotel system. There is distribution of a typical night before the game snack at 9:15 p.m. and then bed check shortly after because the wake up call and breakfast is at 6:50 a.m for the early kickoff.

Head coach Mike Gundy and his staff seemed to be in a good mood as the team traveled and preparation this week went as scheduled. This is the annual wives trip so many of the coaches and support staff were accompanied by their wives.

Kickoff is at 11:05 tomorrow with the broadcast on the Cowboy Radio Network starting at 9 a.m. with the pre-game show. Television for the game is on Fox Sports 1.
