Cowboys Up To Seven Offers For 2015

The Oklahoman reported in Sunday's high school notes that Midwest City (Okla.) High School two-way standout Will Sunderland Jr., has been offered a scholarship by Oklahoma State. We confirmed earlier in the week that Sunderland had received an offer from the Cowboys in advance of the Bombers 28-22 victory over Stillwater on Friday night.

The offer to Sunderland brings the total of Oklahoma State's junior offers up to seven.

Sunderland is a 6-5, 180-pound safety for the Bombers who also plays some wide receiver. He had several catches on Friday night but really played well on defense in the win.

The only other 2015 offer so far in Oklahoma is to Oklahoma City Casady School offensive/defensive lineman Josh Wariboko-Alali, who has battled an injury and is still trying to get completely healthy and in game shape. He committed early to Oklahoma but conversations with the Casady coaching staff indicate that he is still interested in being recruited, and he is also receiving attention from Texas A&M and USC among others. Wariboko-Alali is currently 6-4 and around 315 pounds.

The other early offers from the Cowboys are to Texas prospects with Maea Teuhema from Keller having been one of the first. Teuhema and his older brother committed to Texas this summer. The younger Teuhema is a 6-5, 345-pound offensive lineman.

Two running backs are on the board for 2015 with Tyreik Gray of Bellaire (Episcopal) having been at the Cowboys win in Houston over Mississippi State 21-3. Gray had a monster Friday night in Episcopal's 47-17 win when he rushed for almost 350 yards and five touchdowns on just 14 carries.

Last season, he rushed for 1,586 yards and 27 touchdowns with another 162 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns as a receiver. Gray also has offers from Baylor, Arizona State, Houston and OU.

The other running back in the class is Chris Warren III, who had multiple highlights on High School Extra on Fox Sports Southwest on Friday night as his Rockwall team lost in a featured showdown with Coppell 68-20. Warren carried 17 times for 105 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Last season, he rushed for 1,059 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Warren, who is 6-2, 220 pounds and a load, was in Stillwater in August to check out an Oklahoma State scrimmage. Warren also has scholarship opportunities from Alabama, Baylor, Clemson, Ohio State and OU.

The other offers are to wide receivers from Texas, Kemah Siverand of Cypress Ridge and Carlos Strickland of Dallas Skyline. Strickland is a 6-5, 197-pounder who we've seen before in person while watching current Cowboy freshman Ra'Shaad Samples.

Last season he had modest stats. As a matter of fact, he almost matched his entire sophomore season last week with seven receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns in a 52-28 win over Arlington Bowie. Strickland has attention from SMU and Texas Tech.

Siverand is 6-1, 183 pounds and also has offers from Texas and Texas A&M.

There will be more but this is the list so far of OSU's 2015 offers:
Tyreik Gray, RB, 6-0, 187, Jr., Bellaire (Episcopal), Texas
Kemah Siverand, WR, 6-1, 185, Jr., Cypress (Cypress Ridge), Texas
Carlos Strickland, WR, 6-5, 197, Jr., Dallas (Skyline), Texas

Josh Wariboko-Alali, OL/DL, 6-4, 315, Jr., OKlahoma City (Casady), Okla.
