Gaylord A Prime Offensive Line Target

One of the 2015 prospects in attendance last week for Oklahoma State's win over TCU was offensive line prospect Christian Gaylord of Baldwin City, Kan. The 6-6, 270-pound junior is athletic and has 5.1 speed. His team is 7-0 on the season and ranked third in Class 4A in Kansas. Gaylord came into Stillwater riding a lot of momentum as he and his teammates beat Ottawa last Friday night 61-0.

"They've been a good team, but that wasn't much of a contest," Gaylord said going on to explain that he and his father and brother stayed the night and then drove into Stillwater the next morning. "Baldwin City is about four hours away, so we were about an hour closer and just stayed."

Kansas State has offered Gaylord and it sounds like Oklahoma State has gone that direction as well.

"When I spoke to the coaches they told me that I was the kind of guy they were looking for," Gaylord related from his visit. "They told me I was a hard worker and that is what they like to see and that they wanted me."

Gaylord said he got to see the facilities and all the game festivities.

"It was great to be there and at halftime walking to the concessions I had people asking me if I was a recruit and then saying they hoped I would be there," Gaylord added.

He said he hasn't decided yet what to study academically in college. Other schools recruiting him and showing interest include Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa State, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, UCLA and Wisconsin.

This week Baldwin City plays Santa Fe Trail High School.
