Datrin Guyton may fit that description. As a junior, Guyton played primarily on defense and returned kicks and punts. He had 80 total tackles with 42 unassisted, two tackles for loss, and an interception.
This past season he played receiver as was spotted in several places in the Mustangs offense. He finished with 43 receptions for 1,025 yards, a 23.8 yards per catch average, and four touchdowns. He rushed four times for 60 yards and a touchdown.
He also averaged 43.4 yards per kickoff return and that average was boosted by a 103-yard return for a touchdown. He also averaged 16.3 yards on punt returns.
"I had a busy season," said Guyton, who also has played basketball at Manor but said he won't this season. "I am committed to Oregon State, but Oklahoma State is talking to me and I have other scholarship offers.
"I'm going to visit Oregon State in January and Oklahoma State is trying to set something up. I would like to check out both schools."
Manor finished with a 9-2 record, losing to Magnolia in the first round of the Texas Class 4A playoffs. That has Guyton now really focused in on recruiting.
"I want to major in business management and kinesiology," Guyton said.
The schedule and when he can make his visits in now the next step. Two OSU's have shown they know how to get to Manor.
