Future Cowboys: Eight Wins, Only One Loss

Oklahoma State commits were involved in nine playoff games on Friday. The future Cowboys were 8-1 in those nine games with quarterback Mason Rudolph (six touchdown passes), linebacker Justin Phillips (interception to set up a TD), and receiver James Washington (four TDs) leading their teams to victory. This week's game: Akem's interception in the first half led to a 90-yard drive which resulted in a field goal to pull Broken Arrow within 16-9 at halftime, but the Tigers suffered a 30-12 loss to second-ranked Tulsa Union in a Class 6A semifinal game on Friday night.

This week's game: In a game in which the two teams combined for 1,100 total yards and the lead changed hand five times in the second half, Euless Trinity defeated Southlake Carroll 42-38 on Friday night to advance to the Class 5A Division I Region I final.

This week's game: Harding caught an 8-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter to help No. 1-ranked Jenks take a commanding 32-0 lead just 13 minutes into the game as the Trojans rolled to an easy 46-14 victory over Westmoore on Friday night in a Class 6A semifinal playoff game. The Trojans, 13-0, will be looking for their 12th state title since 1993 against Tulsa Union on Thursday night at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.

This week's game: Lacy caught three passes for 31 yards, including a two-point conversion reception after a touchdown early in the third quarter, as DeSoto stays undefeated with a 56-34 victory over Arlington Martin in a Class 5A Division I regional semifinal. Lacy now has 61 catches for 1,142 yards and 16 touchdowns in 13 games this season.

This week's game: Phillips intercepted a pass for the second consecutive game to set up a 42-yard touchdown pass two plays later as Pearland rallied for a 21-13 victory over Lamar on Friday night in a Class 5A Division I regional semifinal game. Phillips' interception was one of three by the Oilers in the game as they held Lamar to under 20 points for the first time this season.

Mason Rudolph, QB (6-4, 220)

This week's game: Rudolph threw for 319 yards and six touchdowns as No. 1-ranked Northwestern defeated North Augusta 49-21 on Friday night to advance to the Class 4A state championship game. He was 28-of-39 passing for 319 yards with one interception. Rudolph threw TD passes of 25, 3, 2, 9, 21 and 52 yards, and three of those were to junior Dupree Hart, who broke NFL star A.J. Green's state record for career receptions (279). For the season, Rudolph has completed 310 of 425 passes (72.9 percent) for 3,889 yards and 56 touchdowns with just seven interceptions, and his passing efficiency rating is 189.99. He also has 516 rushing yards and 15 TDs for the Trojans.

This week's game: Thomas rushed for 72 yards on 14 carries but his 34-yard loss in the fourth quarter when Broken Arrow was at the 11-yard line was a major blow to the Tigers chances against Tulsa Union in a Class 6A semifinal game. BA trailed by 12 points at the time and was attempting to make it a one possession game when Thomas reversed field several times before being chased down at the 45. Union eventually won 30-18 to advance to the championship game.

This week's game: Walterscheid recorded five tackles, two for loss, two quarterback hits and one QB pressure on defense and had two catches for 70 yards – both for touchdowns – in helping Muenster defeat San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy 41-18 on Friday in a Class 1A Division II regional playoff game.

This week's game: Washington caught four passes for 137 yards for three touchdowns and also scored on an 11-yard run as Stamford defeated Sundown 42-7 on Friday in a Class 1A Division I regional semifinal playoff game. Washington scored the first three times he touched the ball, including a 44-yard TD catch on Stamford's first play from scrimmage. He also scored on the 11-yard run and a 23-yard pass catch in the first quarter, and then added a 63-yard score on a screen pass midway through the second quarter. For the season, Washington has caught 53 passes for 1,104 yards (20.8 yards per catch) and 22 touchdowns.
