Ford: Stevie Clark Status Still Undecided

Nothing has changed with freshman Stevie Clark since the guard was suspended from the Oklahoma State basketball team last week while the Cowboys were playing four games in Florida, head coach Travis Ford said Wednesday afternoon. Ford did reiterate that the 5-11 guard still remains a member of the team.

The ninth-ranked Cowboys, 7-1 after their runner-up finish in the Old Spice Classic, are scheduled to play South Carolina, 2-2, at 8:30 p.m. Friday in a nationally televised game (ESPNU) at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

When asked Wednesday afternoon about the status of Clark, Ford answered, "Wait and see. We'll just wait and see."

"He's with the team. He was never not with the team, as far as being a part of our basketball team," Ford said.

"Don't know that yet," Ford said when asked whether Clark will play in Friday night's game against South Carolina.

Clark averaged 9.8 points per game while shooting 53.8 percent from 3-point range in the first four games of the season. He was not with the team during last week's four-game trip to Florida. "Stevie Clark is not currently with the Cowboys due to personal matters," Ford said in a news release at that time.
