"It was great. It was excellent," Oklahoma State linebacker commitment and Klein Oak High School standout Josh Mabin said when asked how this weekend's visit went at Oklahoma State. The 6-2, 219-pound Mabin was part of a huge visit weekend featuring 18 recruits, all committed to the Cowboys.
"(The highlight) was hanging out with my new family, my brothers for the next 4-5 years," Mabin said when asked what he enjoyed the most. "We were able to hang out for a long time."
Mabin was hosted on his visit by future teammates and fellow linebackers Kris Catlin and Demarcus Sherod.
The highly decorated linebacker said he did not know his senior defensive stats but we do know from watching video that he also helped Klein Oak his senior season by playing tight end. He had 199 tackles combined as a junior and a sophomore.
A four-star prospect, Mabin has a 380-pound max on the bench press, 580 pounds on the squad and 350 pounds on the clean to put him in the 1,000-pound lift club. He plans on majoring in industrial distribution.
