Ozigbo said this was his third junior day as he has already been to Tulsa and North Texas. He is invited to several schools this Saturday, but he said he has not decided where he will go.
"I'm enjoying recruiting," he said. "It's been fun so far and I'm anxious to see what happens the rest of the spring."
Athletically, Ozigbo is a unique prospect as he combine size and power at running back with the speed and explosion that all programs like to have in any size of back. He will run track this spring, competing in the 4x100 meter relay, 100 meters, shot put, and long jump. That is an interesting foursome, and if you add a mile run then you are talking about a mini decathlete.
Last season, he rushed for 947 yards and 13 touchdowns on 148 carries and he also caught 23 passes for 311 yards and two touchdowns. He has 30 career touchdowns with a total of 2,292 all-purpose yards.
It was OSU's second Junior Day and we know they had Lincoln (Southeast), Neb., offensive lineman Fyn Anderson; Dallas (Bryan Adams), Texas defensive tackle Joseph Broadnax; Flower Mound offensive lineman Evan Curl; Rockwall safety Deshon Elliott, and the highlight of the day's attendees was Longview running back JaMycal Hasty.
