Super Bowl-winning offensive tackle Russell Okung of the Seattle Seahawks was at practice in the Sherman Smith Center on Monday. Okung, wearing only Oklahoma State gear and using crutches after a surgery to help repair his damaged toe that he played on last season, watched the offensive line primarily and spoke with coaches and the strength staff.
Former offensive linemen Parker Graham and Brandon Webb were also at the practice. Both started last season, Webb at guard and Graham at both tackle and guard.
Like Okung they were enjoying watching the young offensive linemen, and Graham commented on the fact they were having a round of Champions Drill (live one-on-one) during the practice.
Another visitor with OSU ties and a regular was former Cowboy and PGA Tour golfer Scott Verplank. Verplank, coming off an injury, said he is planning on being ready to make his debut in the PGA Seniors Tour with the Senior U.S. Open at Oak Tree this summer.
The recruiting staff along with the coaching staff had to be pleased with the commitment over the weekend standout running back Ronald Jones
of McKinney (North), Texas.
On Monday, Fort Smith (Southside), Ark., wide receiver Andrew Barley was at OSU's practice. The 6-2, 170-pound Barley is also considered a college baseball prospect as he plays both sports for the Southside Rebels.
