Two Jumbo Offensive Linemen Watch Cowboys

There were a number of former Oklahoma State players at the final spring practice on Friday after playing in the annual former players golf event. But there may have been two future Cowboys also viewing the practice.

Former Cowboys like Baltimore Ravens tight end Billy Bajema, All-American linebacker Ricky Young, quarterback and ex-NFL player Rusty Hilger, and so many others enjoyed watching the Cowboys scrimmage as there were plenty of highlights on both sides of the ball.

Standing out at midfield for a good portion of the scrimmage was Lawton, Okla., offensive lineman and All-State player as a junior Jalin Barnett. Barnett was in town with his grandmother, who has raised him.

The 6-3, 320-pound Barnett looks like he is lean and in pretty good shape. He is an excellent student, and according to Lawton High coaches and teachers he is also a school leader off the field as well as on. He has scholarship offers from Oklahoma State along with Alabama, Auburn, Oregon State, Stanford, Texas Tech, UCLA, and OU.

Another prospect on hand for Friday's scrimmage was Larry Hughes, a good looking offensive tackle prospect from Carrollton (Creekview), Texas. The 6-6, 270-pound Hughes was in Stillwater with his father. He has a scholarship offer from North Texas and is also being actively recruited by the likes of Arkansas, Baylor, Notre Dame, OU, Oregon, and SMU.
