Maile To Decide Before Two A Days

One of the more interesting and talented prospects on the junior college scene is Tyler (Texas) Junior College defensive lineman Motekiai Maile. At 6-4, 300 pounds and quick like a big cat, he is athletic enough to play defensive end, and he does line up there for the Apaches. He is also big and strong enough to dominate inside at defensive tackle and does and likely will at the Division I level.

This is for sure, Mailie is getting plenty of attention with offers from the likes of Mississippi State, North Texas, SMU, Texas Tech, and also interest from USC. However, the likable Maile says he is really trying to decide between four schools.

"As far as where I'm at with my recruiting I have a top four and those are Oklahoma State, Texas, TCU, and Arizona State," Maile said. "I'm trying to decide between those four, and I will make my decision before the start of two-a-days."

The big native of Euless, Texas, where he spent half his life played high school football in northern California earning first team All-Bay Valley honors as a defensive lineman at Pittsburg, Cailf.

As a freshman at Tyler last season he had 30 tackles, 29 of those unassisted, with 4.5 sacks for nearly 30 yards in losses. He told me he is at Tyler this summer working on his classes so he will graduate in December, while also working on his game in the weight room and in the hot Texas sun.

"I spent half my life in Euless, and I still have my parents that stay there and other family too," he said hinting he wants to be close for college. "The first thing I'm looking at is college because I want to get a good education and a degree from a Division I school is good. I'm looking to study criminal justice. The other thing is I'm looking for the school that I can play right away."

He can do that at any of those schools, so in that regard he can take his pick.
