Kolar Meeting A Friend At First Practice

Quarterback commitment John Kolar attended Oklahoma State's three-day high school camp this summer. He was a regular at spring practice, and now on Friday at the Cowboys first practice of fall camp he will join the "bring a friend" club.

Kolar, the first commitment in the 2015 recruiting class after coming on in mid-season to lead Norman North into the playoffs as a junior, said he is bringing or meeting Oklahoma City Casady School offensive lineman Josh Wariboko-Alali in Stillwater for the first practice of fall camp.

"I met him this summer, and yes I asked him to meet me at practice," Kolar said. "Yes sir, I want to help bring guys in, and yes, especially offensive linemen."

Kolar is showing his intelligence as what quarterback doesn't want to have really good, talented offensive linemen in front of him. Wariboko-Alali is 6-3, 305 pounds and one of the top prospect among blockers in the country. He has been to Oklahoma State on several occasions.

Kolar added that he is a little over a week from starting practice for this season.

"I've been working hard this summer and I think we will be good," Kolar added. "We start practice a week from Monday. I know we've been picked sixth and I think we have a shot at a lot of those teams that are ahead of us because they are on our schedule."

Kolar is excited as he begins a full season as the starting quarterback for the Timberwolves after the success he had last season.
