On Wednesday, both Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis and head football coach Mike Gundy took the challenge passed on to them earlier this week by Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, an Oklahoma State alum.
Before taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Hargis challenged Eskimo Joe's owner Stan Clark and the entire OSU student body, while Gundy challenged any members of the ESPN GameDay crew that have not previously been challenged and Pistol Pete.
Then cornerback Kevin Peterson and quarterback J.W. Walsh dumped the ice water out of Gatorade buckets on the two men sitting in front of the Edmon Low Library on the OSU campus with plenty of spectators. Hargis seemed the most uncomfortable while Gundy was fairly unfazed by the cold shower.
Media Day Tomorrow
Gundy and the Cowboys coordinators and various players will meet with the media on Thursday for the first game weekly media news conference. The conference will be held in the theatre meeting room in Gallagher-Iba Arena as there is work going on upstairs on the press box and suites level due to flooding this summer.
