This week’s game: Duncanville scored in the game’s final few minutes to pull out a 32-29 victory over Arlington in Friday night’s opener.

JOSH JONES, OT (6-5, 275)
George Bush High School (Richmond, Texas)
This week’s game: In a defensive battle, Bush came out on the short end of a 7-0 final against Alief Taylor in Saturday’s season opener.

McKinney North High School (McKinney, Texas)
This week’s game: Jones rushed for 62 yards as McKinney North defeated Carrollton Newman Smith 45-16 in Thursday night’s season opener.

JAYLON LANE, CB (6-2, 175)
Nacogdoches High School (Nacogdoches, Texas)
This week’s game: Lane and his teammates opened the season Friday night with a 27-25 victory over Kilgore, scoring the game-winning points on a field goal as time expired.

John Tyler High School (Tyler, Texas)
This week’s game: John Tyler’s defense was dominant, allowing only 200 total yards, in Friday night’s 30-12 victory over Plano in both team’s season opener.

Mesa Community College (Mesa, Ariz.)
This week’s game: Mesa Community College fell behind 31-0 but rallied before losing 48-27 to Glendale C.C. on Saturday. The T-Birds saw their record fall to 0-2 after suffering a 59-21 loss to Snow a week earlier.

Midland Christian School (Midland, Texas)
