Future Cowboys: How’d They Do This Week?

Oklahoma State quarterback commit John Kolar is a little disappointed after the Norman North Timberwolves suffered their first loss of the season Friday night. But the 6-foot-4 Kolar did his part in throwing for 423 passing yards and four touchdowns in the 48-41 loss to Westmoore. Here's a look at how all of OSU commitment's teams did this week.

TAAJ BAKARI, DT (6-2, 287)
Legacy High School (Mansfield, Texas)
This week’s game: Bakari had an 11-yard sack late in the game to help Mansfield Legacy improve to 3-1 with Friday night’s 22-17 victory over Waxahachie.

ZA’CARRIUS GREEN, OLB (5-11, 190)
Duncanville High School (Duncanville, Texas)
This week’s game: Duncanville rallied for two touchdowns in the game’s final five minutes but it wasn’t enough as Waco Midway held on for the 42-36 victory Friday night.
Next scheduled game: Friday, Sept. 26, vs. Mansfield.

JOSH JONES, OT (6-5, 275)
George Bush High School (Richmond, Texas)
This week’s game: Bush, 0-3, will be looking to get in the win column when it faces Fort Bend Willowridge on Thursday.
Next scheduled game: Thursday, Sept. 25, at Fort Bend Willowridge.

RONALD JONES, RB (6-0, 185)
McKinney North High School (McKinney, Texas)
This week’s game: Jones has helped McKinney North get off to a 3-0 start, rushing for 461 yards on 43 carries (an average of 10.7 yards) and six touchdowns thus far this season. The Bulldogs are off this week before returning to action Thursday night against Wylie East.

JOHN KOLAR, QB (6-4, 185)
Norman North High School (Norman, Okla.)
This week’s game: Kolar threw four touchdowns passes and helped rally Norman North from a 14-point, fourth-quarter deficit but it wasn’t enough as Westmoore scored with 42 seconds left for a 48-41 victory on Friday night. Kolar was 19-of-36 passing for 423 yards and the four TDs (79, 6, 53 and 55 yards).

JAYLON LANE, CB (6-2, 175)
Nacogdoches High School (Nacogdoches, Texas)
This week’s game: Lane and his teammates are idle this week. Nacogdoches is 3-0 heading into next Friday’s game against Lufkin..

MOTEKIAI MAILE, DT (6-4, 300)
Tyler Junior College (Tyler, Texas)

This week’s game: McCleskey had four catches for 39 yards while rushing three times for seven yards to help St. Paul’s defeat McDonogh 35 by the score of 35-27 on Friday night.

DEYA MHIESEN, OT (6-8, 305)
Pierce College (Woodland Hills, Calif.)
This week’s game: Mhiesen is actually redshirting this season at Pierce College, and he is expected to enroll at Oklahoma State in January for the spring semester. He will have three years of eligibility to play for the Cowboys.

BRANDON PERTILE, OT (6-6, 295)
Mesa Community College (Mesa, Ariz.)
This week’s game: Pertile suffered a season-ending knee injury and has not played in any games this season for Mesa Community College, scout.com recruiting analyst Jason Jewell is reporting. Jewell says the OSU coaching staff still plans to honor the scholarship to Pertile, who is expected to enroll for the spring semester.

JOHNNY WILSON, C (6-4, 280)
Midland Christian School (Midland, Texas)
This week’s game: A week after having its 27-game winning streak snapped the Midland Christian Mustang started a new streak with Friday night’s 35-10 victory over Class 6A’s El Paso Americas.
