Henry Confirms Commitment To OSU

Standout safety prospect Kevin Henry of Baton Rouge (Central), La. has flipped his commitment from hometown LSU to Oklahoma State. He actually did it two days ago when he called Cowboys coach Mike Gundy to tell him what he was doing, but the delay was apparently to inform LSU that he was making a switch.

Henry had shown interest in Oklahoma State along with other schools like Miami (Fla.), Mississippi, and Alabama recently after committing to the Tigers during the summer.

Henry is starting on defense at safety and playing some offense for the Grizzly Bears at Central this season. The 6-1, 205-pound Henry had 47 tackles, six tackles for loss, two interceptions, and a sack last season in earning honors on the 4-5A All-District team. Henry was also recruited by Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Monroe, Auburn, and Texas A&M.

In another note, Alief (Taylor), Texas safety Kenneth McGruder made an official visit to Nebraska this past weekend, but said he only made the trip to go with a friend and that he is still committed to Oklahoma State.
