Williams, Family Enjoy OSU Homecoming

Oklahoma State picked up a pair of commitments on Monday, but over the weekend the Cowboys hosted a number of prospects from not only the 2015 recruiting class but more from the 2016, 2017 and even 2018 classes. One of the top prospects in Stillwater fresh off a regular season closing win on Friday night in Tulsa over Holland Hall was Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal defensive tackle Mike Williams.

"It was fun and I had my mom and grandma with me," Mike Williams said. "I wanted them to see it. They said they really loved it. My grandma said she really loved the atmosphere and she was up dancing during the game."

Williams' team won at Holland Hall and they beat the best of the Oklahoma independent private schools playing in the Southwest Prep Conference in Oklahoma City Casady a few weeks ago winning 35-25. They are 7-2 and 7-0 in conference and will open the playoffs on Friday against Kinkaid out of Houston.

Williams, who is 6-3, 270 pounds, has 28 tackles, 20 unassisted, 3.0 tackles for loss, .5 sack, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt.

Last season Williams had 60 tackles, 32 unassisted, 5.5 tackles for loss, a sack, and a fumble caused. He has offers from Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Ohio State, Mississippi, Michigan, Kansas State, TCU, SMU, and Nebraska among a lot of other recruiting interest.

"I've been to Oklahoma State, TCU, and Baylor," Williams said. "I need to get to OU and we have about 10 players from the team that are going to a game at Texas A&M."

Of course, his top priority is the playoffs and hoping grandma dances at the All Saints game.
