McGruder Apparently Back On OSU's List

One of Oklahoma State's four visitors this weekend was safety Kenneth McGruder from Alief (Taylor), Texas. We saw McGruder at the Cowboys first practice back following final exams when they hit the practice field and the Sherman Smith Center on Saturday evening.

McGruder has been traveling back to the Houston are by commercial air on Sunday and we haven't been able to reach him. Scout's Ahmard Vital is also trying to get in touch with McGruder.

The 6-1, 190-pound safety was committed to Oklahoma State but just before Thanksgiving he announced his de-commitment and was looking seriously at Texas Tech. He called Oklahoma State earlier this week and set up an official visit for this weekend, and he made the trip to Stillwater with family.

There are reports that McGruder has re-confirmed his commitment but none of those reports show any substantiation or quotes from the player. There was a "pistols firing" tweet from Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy on Sunday morning that was attributed to the Houston area. Gundy also saw McGruder this week as he was in Houston for the Houston Touchdown Club Banquet.

We have calls and messages in to McGruder to try and confirm the new pledge.
