"It went good,"Jones said of the visit. "I got to meet more of the coaches and then was able to be around the players a lot and able to get to know them and they get to know me.
"I had been up there in the summer (he committed on Aug. 11), so I knew that their facilities are as good as there is with any team in the country. The weight room is out of this world."
Jones, who was a first-team All-District 23-5A selection, was really happy about the living arrangements.
"Yes, the two bedroom and two shower apartments are a big bonus," he added.
Jones said he was hosted by the Cowboys starting right guard Jesse Robinson. "He was great and it was a really good trip," Jones added.
Jones confirmed that right now he weighs in at 270 pounds and he is staying active as he is playing basketball this semester.
