Samples Looking For A New Home

As mentioned in answering questions on the Premium Board here at GoPokes.com, Oklahoma State inside receiver Ra'Shaad Samples is planning to transfer at the end of his academics here for the spring semester at OSU.

The 5-11, 178-pound Samples was never able to get steady playing time on the field and was stuck down on the depth chart in the Cowboys offense. This past season Samples caught three passes, all in the same game, with the three catches for 11 yards in the win over Missouri State.

Samples had this post on his Twitter account on Tuesday morning.

Thankful for everything Oklahoma State has done for me time to start a new chapter.

Samples was a highly touted member of the 2013 recruiting class coming out of Dallas (Skyline), Texas where he earned All-America honors and caught 62 passes as a senior for 1,072 yards and 23 touchdowns. His junior season he had 65 receptions for 1,369 yards and 19 touchdowns.

He was a very dynamic player and personality as even cheerleaders from the opposing team would ask to take pictures with him after games.

Just guessing that two programs with new coaches and high powered offensive-minded head coaches like Houston and SMU might end up being destinations for Samples. Actually, there has been one source tell me that Houston was likely for Samples.
