Williams Becomes Second Commit Of Day

Rodarius Williams, a standout cornerback from Shreveport (Calvary Baptist), La., became the second commitment on Saturday as the Cowboys had a good spring game on and off the field. Williams, who is 6-0, 171 pounds, joined four-star athlete Tyrell Alexander in pledging to the Cowboys. On Twitter, Williams can be seen smiling with Gundy in front of a wall of NFL jerseys belonging to ex-Cowboys.

"We've been talking for a long time," Williams said to the New Orleans Times-Picayune and NOLA.com. "Once they offered me it just went from there. They were trying to get me down here to check out the facility. I liked what I was seeing."

Williams is the No. 32 prospect in Louisiana with NOLA.com, and he had offers from the likes of Arizona State, Baylor, California, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, OU, and Utah, among others.

He is joined in the Calvary Baptist secondary by his brother, Greedy Williams, who earned the defensive back MVP at Nike's The Opening Regional in Arlington, Texas. Williams also performed well there and was competing on defense in the camp ending pressure cooker.

Another prime Calvary Baptist teammate is safety Chanse Sylvie, who is also considering Oklahoma State.

"It would mean a lot," Williams said to NOLA.com of playing with Sylvie at Oklahoma State. "I've been knowing him since we were young. Taking our talent to the next level together would mean a lot. I'm working on Chanse. Every day I see him I'm going to try and get him to commit."
