Standout Running Back To Walk On

We have confirmed and Dedrick Scrivens reported himself on Twitter. The 5-9, 200-pound running back out of McKinney (Boyd), Texas is going to walk on, play football and go to school at Oklahoma State.

We think Scrivens might be reporting as a member of the 105 for fall camp in August. The report day is on Tuesday, Aug 4.

Also, we learned from one of our subscribers and a listener to my radio show on Triple Play Sports Radio that Luke Hupp will be walking on as a Cowboy Back, fullback or tight end type. Hupp will report to the program when classes start.

Scrivens rushed for 1,583 yards last season at Boyd. He has excellent speed (estimated 4.5 flat) and he has some wiggle to his running style as well. He gained the 1,583 yards on 282 carries and average 5.6 yards a carry with five 100-plus yard games and 22 rushing touchdowns. He also caught 14 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns.

Hupp graduated from Louisburh (Kansas) High School in 2014 and laid out from football. He is a good student and get this.... He graduated high school at 6-0 and 195 pounds. Now he is 6-1 3/4, and 253 pounds. He can bench press rep 340 pounds five times. Hupp will be an interesting addition.
