Jenks Standout Pleased To Receive OSU Offer

We were able to speak with Jenks, Okla., standout Dillon Stoner on Friday and he informed us that his trip to Stillwater was more than just a visit. The 6-0, 180-pound Dillon came in for part of the high school camp and participated in one practice for a pro-rated price. It gave him a chance to work with the Oklahoma State coaches and get a feel for that.

"I had been talking to Coach (Kasey) Dunn several times about coming over there for a camp, (he could have gone on Sunday but had a visit set for Texas Tech) and so I was there for a two-hour session and then I was able to tour the facilities," Stoner explained.

He also admitted that he had an interest in Oklahoma State and that current Oklahoma State safety and Stoner's former teammate at Jenks, Dylan Harding, is a pretty good friend.

Stoner played safety during Harding's senior season at Jenks and then last season caught 35 passes playing wide receiver on offense for 594 yards and six touchdowns.

"I definitely want to make my decision sometime this summer," Stoner continued when asked the status on his recruitment. "I'm hoping to make the decision pretty soon and I want to make sure (the decision) is the one. I don't want to de-commit. I want to make the decision one time and it be right."

He told me that he has been to Arkansas and toured their facilities and campus. He has also been to Kansas and he will be going to Texas Tech to do the same on Sunday. All of those schools have offered along with at least seven others and that includes Oklahoma State.

What is he looking for in a major? "I'm thinking business, but I'm not exactly sure," he said. "Business for right now."

All part of a decision he hints is going to be made fairly soon.
