Daniels: OSU Really Opens My Eyes

Top-rated defensive tackle Chris Daniels of Euless (Trinity), Texas sent out his top 10 list of schools recruiting him in May. Baylor, Miami, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, TCU, and Washington made the list. The 6-3 1/2, 300-pound Daniels kind of fell off our radar at gopokes.com at that time, but today he reappeared and in a big way.

On the day before Father's Day, Daniels and his dad were in Stillwater touring the Oklahoma State football facilities and taking a good look at the Cowboys. Judging by his message about it on Twitter this afternoon, the Oklahoma State staff put its best foot forward.

Daniels and his dad spent several hours looking at the facilities, taking a tour of campus including living arrangements, and meeting with the coaches in the West End Zone.

Now the question is have the Cowboys made it a top 11 or has somebody fallen off the list? Is the list even still 10? Or is it smaller? Larger?

Daniels is a dominating player who coaches and schools are not going to dismiss in recruiting until the very end. He had 45 tackles and seven sacks last season, which are both good numbers for a Class 6A defensive tackle that is almost always being double- and sometimes triple-teamed.

We will do our best to follow up with Daniels, but he has certainly been one of those recruits that has controlled the information on his recruitment so far.
