Oklahoma State Sets Series With Oregon State

Oklahoma State and Oregon State have announced they will play a home-and-home football series, with the two schools meeting in Corvallis on Aug. 31, 2019 and in Stillwater on Sept. 5, 2020. Both OSU's feature the colors orange and black and have similar academic pedigrees with an emphasis on agriculture and engineering.

It should make for an interesting game on television that from a uniform standpoint could look like a team looking in the mirror.

The two schools have never previously met on the football field.

Last season Oregon State finished 5-7 and out of bowl contention while Oklahoma State finished 7-5 with a bowl win over Washington of the Pac-12 in the Cactus Bowl.

Under head coach Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State has become familiar with Pac-12 Conference opponents as the Cowboys have compiled an 8-3 record against teams from that league during Gundy’s 10-year tenure. Those West Coast opponents have included Stanford, Washington, Washington State, Arizona, Oregon, and Colorado (prior to their Pac-12 membership).

The Cowboys have won six of their last seven and eight of their last 10 games played against teams currently in the Pac-12 Conference, dating back to 2008.
