The Oklahoma State Cowboys are staying at the Hotel Doherty in Clare, Michigan, which is registered as a haunted travel destination.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are staying at the Hotel Doherty in Clare, Michigan. It was built in 1924 and during the 1920s and 1930s it became a hideout or refuge for gangsters from Detroit.

There were murders in the hotel and it was also a front for a gambling operation. The most famous crime occurred on May 14, 1938 when mob attorney Isaiah Leebove was shot by Central Michigan oil promoter Carl Jack Livingston in the Tap Room of the hotel. 

Guests and employees have reported loud noises in the lobby when no one is near. Guests have reported shadowy apparitions in the hallways and room doors being unlocked and opened by unseen forces. 
It is registered as a haunted travel destination.
