Gundy Says Jhajuan Seales Will Return For TCU

Jhajuan Seales, suspended for last weekend's game against Texas Tech after being cited for driving under the influence and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, will play this week, head coach Mike Gundy said.

Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy said Monday that wide receiver Jhajuan Seales, who was cited for driving under the influence and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, would be back with the team this week in preparation for the TCU game.

Seales was arrested in the early morning hours on Sunday, Oct. 25, following the Cowboys 58-10 homecoming win over Kansas.

"Yes," Gundy said to the question of whether Seales would play this week. "We suspended him last week. He made a terrible decision."

It was Seales second time to be in trouble because of post-game mistakes. Following the loss to TCU last season he was cited for public intoxication while sitting in a vehicle that was on but stopped in the drive thru lane at the Stillwater Whataburger restaurant.

The 6-2, 198-pound Seales is a junior out of Port Arthur (Memorial), Texas that has a 69 career receptions for 1,013 yards and seven touchdowns. This season he has 12 catches for 164 yards and one touchdown. His best season was his redshirt freshman season in 2013 with 39 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns.

Seales practiced on the scout team last week and while Gundy said he will be back and eligible to play this week that does not guarantee playing time as the Cowboys wide receiver depth situation is very plentiful.
