Interesting Tidbit: He is a cousin (not first cousin) but likely a second cousin to former Oklahoma State All-American defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah. Like Ogbah, he is originally from Nigeria. He is a dual citizen as an American and his family moved to Canada from Texas.
Primary Recruiting Coach: Glenn Spencer.
Scouting Report and Projection: Another of my candidates for top player in the class, Ogbongbemiga is a standout who has his football foundation born in Texas and with similar family and football values as his cousin and Oklahoma State All-American defensive end Emmnuel Ogbah. Ogbongbemiga shows good speed, good tackling ability, and solid coverage skills. He may not come off as physical as some linebacker candidates in the U.S. but remember he has played with Canadian rules (12 men, three downs) and on a Canadian field (110 yards and wider than in the U.S.), so he has played in much more space and covered much more space. All that said, he is a really good football player that is getting bigger and stronger by the day. I can’t be higher on any player in the class.
