Scouting Report and Projection: Harper got an early jump on his collegiate career as a spring enrollee and he needs it with his frame. He is excellent in coverage skills and his length at 6-3 is a huge help as receivers seemed to get tangled themselves in his arms and legs. He is skinny and that is where an early start with Rob Glass and the strength staff will help Harper a lot. Depending on how he fills out in the spring and summer, I could see him playing special teams and on defense as early as this fall. If he can’t put on 10 top 15 pounds of muscle then a red-shirt season would seem much more likely. He is a fun athlete to watch.
