Plenty Of Visitors Attend Friday's Scrimmage

Several quarterback prospects made their way to Stillwater to watch Friday's scrimmage, including incoming preferred walk-on Nyc Burns, 2017 prospect Myles Brennan (pictured above) from Bay St. Louis (St. Stanisiaus), Miss., and 2018 prospect Casey Thompson from Southmoore.

Oklahoma State held its first scrimmage of the spring Friday afternoon and there were several recruits on hand to watch.

Recent commitment Adrian Wolford of Meeker High School was there with his dad as they watched the scrimmage and then spent time afterward talking with both offensive line coach Greg Adkins and head coach Mike Gundy. Wolford is listed at 6-4, 295 pounds, but he certainly looked taller and is said to be over 300 pounds now.

Another in-state recruit present was 2018 quarterback prospect Casey Thompson, who made the trip to Stillwater with his younger but taller brother Cody Thompson, and yes he is another quarterback. Gundy was seen talking to both and kidding Casey that his younger brother has already passed him in height.

Casey was laughing and telling the Cowboys head coach that he had told him that Cody was taller. Casey is really hot right now as a prospect. He showed up well at the Nike Opening Regional in Coppell, Texas, after a sophomore season that included 2,670 passing yard and 32 touchdown with just 4 interceptions. He also rushed for 1,011 yards and 20 touchdowns.

2017 quarterback prospect Myles Brennan made his way to Stillwater all the way from Bay St. Louis (St. Stanislaus), Miss. The 6-3, 185-pound Brennan watched practice and talked with offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich after the scrimmage. Brennan has offers from California, Memphis (the two projected leaders) and Arkansas State, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, ULL, Southern Miss, UTSA, Troy, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. Last season he threw for 5,248 yards while completing 303-of-486 passing with 53 touchdown passes and just eight interceptions. He also ran for 487 yards and 8 touchdowns. Oklahoma State has not offered as of yet.

Incoming preferred walk-on quarterback Nyc Burns out of Tulsa Berryhill is a regular and watched the scrimmage. He was there with his mother on Friday.
