Shortly after the last stop on the Mary Hardin-Baylor Mega Camp finished up at L.D.Bell High School in Hurst, Texas one of the camp stars had added another offer, this one from the Missouri Tigers. Denton (Ryan), Texas quarterback Spencer Sanders is raking in the attention and the offers.
After the camp ended Saturday night he had a line of media waiting to talk to him from the recruiting services and local media. On his way home he found out about the Missouri offer. Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich spent a lot of time coaching him up and observing his fundamentals on Saturday. Then on Sunday morning in the Dallas Morning News his name was front and center in a high school spring football wrap-up.
Last season as a sophomore Sanders was outstanding completing 207-of-338 passing for 2,589 yards, 24 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. He also says getting out of the pocket is a strength of his and that's evident by his 196 carries for 830 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Besides Missouri, add Kansas, Kansas State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Colorado, SMU, North Texas, Mississippi, and Penn State to his offer list. I expect Oklahoma State could join that list soon.
Sanders is personable to talk to, humble about his situation, and very believable that he can be a very good Division I college quarterback. Check for yourself.
