On Sunday one of the first players we featured from the camp tour we caught on Saturday at Tyler and L.D. Bell High School in Hurst was 2018 quarterback sensation Spencer Sanders from Ryan High School in Denton. Sanders is believed to be one of the top quarterback prospect in Texas and he has two seasons left to play. He was getting plenty of attention at L.D. Bell on Saturday night.
The 6-1, 188-pounder was offered by Missouri after leaving the camp and now tonight he gets the offer from Oklahoma State. We told you the typical method for the Cowboys staff is to come back and meet and go over prospects they liked on the camp tour. Head coach Mike Gundy is involved and there is also the chance to do some more video review and then make the offer.
That is apparently what the Cowboys did as Sanders posted this on his Twitter account Tuesday night: "Honored and blessed to receive an offer from OSU."
Last season as a sophomore Sanders was outstanding completing 207-of-338 passing for 2,589 yards, 24 touchdowns and only seven interceptions. He also says getting out of the pocket is a strength of his and that's evident by his 196 carries for 830 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Besides Missouri, add Kansas, Kansas State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Colorado, SMU, North Texas, Mississippi, and Penn State to his offer list.
