Braydon Johnson Commits To Cowboys

Oklahoma State picks up a verbal commitment from Braydon Johnson from Arlington (Bowie), Texas.

Oklahoma State has been a football staff known for making exhausting evaluations and taking a chance on prospects some other top 25 schools might dismiss. The Cowboys picked up another one of those type recruits on Monday as Arlington Bowie speedster Braydon Johnson pledged.

The 6-1, 185-pound Johnson missed most of his junior season in football because of a blood clot, but OSU has seen him at camps and he was a stand out at the recent Texas 7-on-7 Championships.

Last spring he ran a career best 21.87 seconds in the 200 meters at a track meet. He also ran in the 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 relays. He is a very athletic prospect.

Johnson did have offers from Iowa, Colorado State, Kansas, ULM, Memphis, Tulsa, and Utah State. He is a two-star prospect according to Scout, but his inactivity his junior season had a lot to do with it.

Johnson is the 16th commitment for the Cowboys. He is the second or possibly third wide receiver on the Pokes commitment list as Fort Worth South Hills twin Tylan Wallace is a wide receiver and his twin Tracin could be.
